I have a 2011 crossplane. If you haven't already, you should think about flashtune and one down in the front. No more factory spark and throttle restrictions. I've done it to mine and It's ridiculously fast.

A perfectly washed and detailed bike rolled out of the garage and up on the stand. It was a rough ride with only a few knee draggers haha

Looking at that coupe never gets old love that car! is that your oil cooler I see behind the hood vents? If it is I was considering the same exact thing! Figured it would be a great alternative to whats currently available for the m3.

did you ever look into Bazzaz? they have great products and have great customer service.

I'll be putting the bazzac zfi-tc on my 07 gsxr 1k before spring.

the exhaust on your bike looks baddass, did you make it yourself? it looks loud.

also what did you do with your headlights?

Yes oil cooler is behind the kidneys, I have a ton of crap in a tiny space in this car, needed it somewhere to get direct airflow

PCV and Autotune is the best tuning combo for what I want. Power Commander can also take a MAP sensor input for boost.

What are you asking about the headlights? They are stock except for aftermarket 8500k HID's

my mistake, i thought your r1 came with the lenses over the headlights, i realized that that was other years.

lol boost on the R1? you love to slap turbo's on stuff

did you make the custom exhaust if not who did? mind me asking how much $ you paid?

It will definitely be getting boost at some point, and yes I built the exhaust.

When you boost it or just in general, you will want the throttle restrictions off the crossplane. If you didn't know, you only get 100% throttle blade opening from 7500-12000 RPMs then it shuts down to 85%. Along with gear based spark advance restrictions. It made night and day difference on my 2011.

Damn that bike is so sexy, It brings me back to the days of having mine. I'm a yamaha guy to the fullest, every since i got a yz80 over ten years ago. Your bike reminds me of mine so much, enjoy her and be safe. First I had a 04 r6 silver, Then after a year I went to R1's. I had an 02, 04, 06, 07, 2010 1000. Plus a few 450 quads and a two stroke 250 and 4 stroke 450 YZ,s. Your bike looks exactly like my 2010 crossplane in every way and I had to right a novel about it because I loved that bike so much lol. I had to have shift red on all my 1000's because I think it looked awesome, my favorite color by far. Living in new york was a pain though, almost every time I went out to ride someone cut me off and it could of ended up bad. Cars just do not give a crap here. Financial reasons made me sell it last year but i'm buying a 07/08 soon because I love the look of the angel eyes and exhaust, and it was enough power for me plus I can get one in my price range. I'm sure you know that the newer bikes are nothing to mess with, even the older 1000's are crazy. Just be careful and safe man but above all enjoy her because it is a mean machine. Good luck with her.
