I saw that on the FedEx website yesterday. Some states are getting hammered with bad weather.

@Kriss

Any chance these would go on sale again in the near future? Possibly within a month or two?

Quick little cell phone right after installation. We still have a foot of snow on the ground and have temporary 10mm front spacers on right now so cars not going anywhere for awhile. Adjustment is all the way down running 225/45/17's

I've read through this entire thread, and after the few issues were sorted, reviews look good. But i'm still on the fence with these. They are just another china made cheap coilover, same as racelands, and possibly even made by the same company. I'm most interested in ride quality, not how low they will go, and have no interest in buying a cheap set only to replace them a year later, but at the same time, if its a quality product at a cheaper price, I'm all for that!! I want something firm, not bouncy in any way, and have a modest drop, about 1-2 inches. So basically, can anyone confirm these are not just rebranded racelands, a decent quality, and will last?

I installed these a couple months ago and have nothing but good things to say about them so far. I am pretty sure they are made by FK. The instructions I got with them are made by FK and they look identical except for the adjusters.

Also some of the parts with the kit had branding (made in Germany) and my ride is still firm and not bouncy, and I'm on of the first on this kit

Probly not. Adjusters & coatings are different. Im not sure exactly what the "Polished Steel" coating is on the FK's, but Im thinking the black galvanized coating on the Street Edge might be better for corrosion protection.

FK's:

I managed to get the car on the road last night, another crappy iphone pic. I'll have better shots hopefully this weekend. Drove the car to work today and I have to say I'm pretty impressed especially at this price point.

First off coilovers ride like COILOVERS lol. Your touring suspension or strut based setup is going to ride better. I can tell you though ride quality is on par with my more expensive coilovers I've owned on Subaru's. My AST 4100's and RCE Tarmac 2's were by far the best riding I've owned and the Street Edge's are very close in ride quality. Highway speeds they are not bouncy and I commute on a very wavy highway (a subaru with just lowering springs practically bounces you out of your seat here). Large bumps in the road it handles nicely too, doesn't shock your spine like a set of Tein basic's or Dsports. Performance wise these feel decent, tighter than sport suspension but not quite the valving as some higher end coilovers, but I believe this is a trade off for the great ride quality these have. I think if I upgrade to camber plates up front it will feel a little more direct.

Installation wasn't too terrible, in fact to toughest part was getting the stock strut assembly out which still was a 4 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. Simple hand tools took care of business, if you are reusing your factory top mounts be prepared to use some PB blaster to get the nuts off. Also with my style 44 wheels I went with a 10mm spacer up front to clear the coilover.

Again I'm extremely impressed, even if these were $700 I'd still feel like i was getting a deal. Thanks again Kris for the great product.

Send me pics of the shock please kristina@thesuspensionsource.com

Also you just voided the warranty in the front by removing the helper spring
