Just bought my first BMW.

Hey guys. I didn't see an "Introduce Yourself" Post, So I figured I'd just start my own. My name is Nick, I'm from Portland, OR and I just bought my first BMW. Its a 2001 325Ci ZSP with 114K miles. Its Topas blue metallic with a Tan interior.

A little background on me: I'm 21 years old, and a Diesel Tech for Ford. And have been into cars all my life. I sarted with a 1971 Ford F-100 that my dad gave me when I was 10 (I built it and then wrecked it, A hard lifes lesson...). I've had 2 Jeeps, a Mk3 supra, 4 67-72 Ford trucks, and my last car was a 1992 VW jetta. Wanting to stay Euro, I had been looking at E30's and E34's, but decided it was time to step up to something OBD2, at least. I started looking at E39's and E46 sedans, but ended up settling (after about a year of deliberating) on a 325Ci.

It needs some work, Like a drivers side mirror, a front bumper, and some interior trim needs the cloth replaced. It also has the BMW 44 wheels, but the previous owner spraypainted them black...

Ive pretty much decided to go with the Mtech II front bumper. Does it look out of place without the matching sideskirts and rear bumper?

Does anyone know of any places to get cloth that is as close as possible to the original BMW tan? Or, If I can get the headliner out without too much trouble (like removing windows) What do you guys think about doing Black A/B/C panels and headliner/visors?

Unfortunately, I have no pictures of the car right now, But I will get some and post them as soon as I get a sunny day to clean it up and take some good ones!

I just looked in my phone and forgot I had taken some pictures. Theres some pretty bad scratches over the tow hook cover (which is also missing) on the front bumper. But like I said, I may just replace it with the Mtech bumper.

Thanks guys. I'm excited. I drooled over a topas ZHP sedan for a long time, but it was just out of reach. So I settled for this. I didn't really want a coupe, but its growing on me. I've wanted an E46 for the last year or so and finally pulled the trigger on one. I get it back from the dealer tomorrow, 3 bad coils and a bad PAD (Thats what they call it in the Ford world, Passenger Airbag Deactivation) switch. Im excited to finally get to put some miles on it. Its by a good bit the fastest car I've owned. Lol.

Thanks. I actually just sold the mk2 last night. I ended up getting 2700 for it. The dude got an awesome car.

Now, should I be responsible and put it toward the loan, or buy new tires, wheels, halos, and a front bumper.....

You mean cheaper wheels that look exactly the same, but made by a different manufacturer?
