E46 M54 Valve Cover Replacement

There are a lot of posts about how to replace the valve cover gasket, but not a whole lot on how to replace the entire valve cover. Anyone have any help they can offer?

You can use www.realoem.com to determine the part number for your car's valve cover. IIRC you have to take off the valve cover to replace the gasket. Perhaps you can stop at that point and replace the cover. I wish you luck.

There is no additional step if you can do the gasket. Same procedure. Make sure to get new grommets.

If you recall correctly? What other method of replacing the gasket do you recall that does not involve taking off the valve cover?
