My Ride: 2002 BMW 325Ci
Need help!! Very rough idle with loud knocking.

I have a 02 325ci with 156,000 miles on it and it's driving me insane. When I first got it I replaced the water pump with one that has a metal impeller, thermostat, spark plugs, oil filter adapter gasket, and valve cover gasket. It has been idling really rough. Not only does it idle rough, it has a more than occasional knock. But only at idle. At first I thought my coils were bad. Bc at the time I had multiple misfire codes with fuel shut offs. So I acquired Bosch coils. Same problem. Most of my codes are gone tho. The first and only code that has come up so far is p1525 and my scanner says manf. Control vehicle spd. Idle speed control aux inputs.
When I search this code all I see something about the crank position sensor. So I'm really confused. So could it be the disa or iac? I cleaned both with throttle body cleaner while I was replacing the oil filter adapter gasket. And after I had put it all back to together it idle worse than ever. Which was when I replaced my coils. So now I'm super stumped. If someone know Wat else it could be or could actually look at it and give me some advice that would be great.
I'm located in orange park,fl.
Thanks!!

And it only gives me that could when I actually have it running. If the car is off but in the on position I have no codes. I probably haven't had it running long enough to have any codes saved.

Was it acting up before you did all that work?
