Wheel sizes

My 323i (w/sport package) comes with 16" wheels already, I see a lot of 323i's come with 15''. The manual says the manufacturer suggests it can be upped to 17". Little difference there. If I were to go to 18" wheels will I have to change anything to accommodate? Or should I just go with the manufacturer suggest and go with 17''?

No it shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't increase the width. I run 18" on my 325

There are plenty of threads available that could give you specific info on wheel setups.

Cool! Thanks! I was wanting to go with possibly CSL style wheels or M3 style. The CSl style are 18s and I think I've seen M3 in 18s.

Also, because you don't have an Xi like me, you can run a staggered setup (wider in the rear to a certain extent.) it is best to check on the forum first because chances are someone has already bought the same wheel and has posted valuable information about them. Try to buy OEM wheels or lightweight wheels if you can. I really wanted ZHP wheels personally but couldn't find 4 good condition fronts and so I settled on replicas. They are at least 2x as heavy as my stock wheels and I really regret this.

I have ZHP wheels. 18x8 up front and 18x8.5 in the rear. It is a "stagger," but it isn't much of one. I've seen guys run up to a 9.5 on all four corners, so you should be fine with CSLs. They're a pretty common choice. There should be plenty of info! Good luck!

Yes, just use tire size 225/40R18.
