Sure, but if it tastes good, provides all the nutrients he needs, and keeps him healthy... I can see why he likes it.

Think of never doing dishes again, never shopping for groceries, never cooking full meals again. Eat out when you want, and at better places cause you save the money you would have spent at home, and stay healthy/lose weight?

Plenty of people have switched to liquid diets. They use juicers to make smoothies? Has no one ever heard of this before? That one guy went on an all liquid diet in a documentary to attempt to cure some disease he had.

my fiance's mother switched to an all liquid diet called the gerson diet as an alternative to chemotherapy when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. they are pretty intense diets and it was basically a full time job juicing all of the fruits and veggies in her $2k super juicer. there were a lot of testimonials on how this diet actually helped people. sadly she was stage 4 when diagnosed and it had spread to her brain so she degraded pretty rapidly, the juice was helping at that point.

As a liesure activity, yea. Instead of eating stuff made at home, you could effectively eat out whenever and spend a little more if you wanted.

Some people actually like eating good food, hanging out with friends, going on a date, etc etc etc. This hippie is forever alone. You can save THOUSANDS by not having a girlfriend, jerking off into a sock and calling it a day, but I don't think anyone here is looking to penny pinch on that right?

My point is that it is a fraction of the cost to eat at home, assuming you buy groceries wisely. So you wouldn't be able to eat at higher end restaurants more regularly because your home cost savings would be far less than the increased costs of better restaurants.
