no. steptronic is the rgular bmw, alpina call there auto switchtronic, its just an normal auto(ZF5hp19) but modified from stock, diffirent ratios, diffirent valve body, converter and diffirent software, fells much more agressive than the stock auto, there are shift buttons on the steering wheel.

alpina call the car alpina B3 3.3 switchtronic.

np there are two little knobs on each site, on for upshift and one for downshift, when you put the car in M they activate

i cant really say that i use them, but on a demanding road they are work fine,

My '99 had the same setup with NAV disc that was severely outdated.

yeah the old "big screen" is allright, i recon i will upgrade to the big one sometime, but this one is alright
