If you paint your highs with yellow tint you will be fine I believe, but something like flat black will ruin the output
Hey thanks I thought the 55w might be a little much appreciate the answer . I'd love to paint my bowls yellow but I can't find metal cast or glass paint anywhere around here. I saw the flat black looked nice but as you said I don't wanna ruin my high beams.

Just ordered the kit. Got the H1 kit, stand-lone can-bus harness, and XB35 5000K bulbs. My only question is where does the bi xenon solenoid cord from the projector come out the back of the headlight assembly to connect to the high beam harness in a splitter arrangement? Bi xenon cord connection is my nervous fear right now about the kit

I am curious about the bi-xenon connection as well. Can anyone give some insight?

Going off of my best recollection... There is a red wire coming off the projector. That actuates the bi-xenon functionality. Drill a small hole in the bowl of your halogens and pass the red wire out when mounting the projector. It fits into a y-connector that goes to the high beam and to the oem wiring for the high beam. When you hit your highs, the signal is sent to both your high beams and the projector (via the y-connector) and the projector shield drops for the bi-xenon function.
This is a pretty straightforward DIY once you get in there. You guys shouldn't stress too much. This thread is full of good info and hints, just search through.

Hello guys, I have a bit of a problem. I am currently in the middle of "trying" to do this retrofit. I bought everything to specification except the shrouds, I bought the Gatling Gun 2.0's, and they definitely will not fit. So I am wondering if anyone has bought these Gatling Guns and did the cut and fit solution. I could use a little bit of help with it. Also I seem to be having a problem installing the centric rings into these Gatling gun shrouds and I could use a bit of help with that too if anyone has ideas and/or experience on it. Thanks in advance!

I actually ordered the mini gaitling gun shroud that screws onto the projector. Im not trying to deal with glue or that headache. Form follows function, non fanatics would never notice it. Any pics of E46s with that shroud?

Well to be honest I didn't look into the mini Gatling guns. And the video by solidjake showed the regular e46 ones n he had problems with sizing as well. I actually called TRS about my centric rings and they told me "oh it might be to big just sand or dremel it" and that was a shocker. I would expect if they make a product it should fit properly. But I did cut them and sand them then epoxied them to the shroud and now it's good. The problem now is the shroud itself, I've already cut a portion off the top but I still need to trim more. I'll give you guys an update on it and a photo when I'm done. I'm
Assuming I may be one of the few that fit the Gatling gun 2.0s on lol

I recently did the retrofit and it went fantastic. I coded the car for xenon. Now I have a strange problem. My radio reception has pretty much disappeared, and if I find a station it goes away as well if I turn my lights on. Anybody had this problem?

is it posslbe to tap the wires from bi-xenon projectors to hi beam? so when you flick the stalk the projector flap would open to allow max light output?

do you have to get anything coded for this as well? hoping solidjake can chime in on this..

If you buy from the retrofitsource.com, they will provide you with high beam Y splitters that will enable you to tap into the high beam.

I did this retrofit this week and it was far from seamless. If you want the bi xenon function YOU WILL NEED TO DRILL a hole in the back of the halogen bowl. Also it takes alot of effort and forcing to tightening the projector down. Also screwing the headlights back in is very difficult.

Anyone have wiring photos of what they did with all the ballast, harness, etc

Hi...I've got an error warning lamp in the dash, more than 3 months since installed and everything was fine.
I got the warning lamp only when the x-noen turnd off, when I light them ON.. the warning lamp go Off?!!

So what the best to do? programing or have a Cancelator.

Thanks,
