Help: 1 Corner Light Doesn't Always Turn On

Need some help guys. 2003 M3 w/ OEM lighting

I am experiencing the intermittent failure to turn on that most of us e46 owners have had with a HID headlight projector, except this car is doing with the drivers side corner light. At first I thought great.... I have to replace the ignitor or if I'm lucky the ballast. But this is just a regular turn signal bulb. They don't require either electrical parts.

Here are my sysmptoms:
For the 1ST couple months when turning on the headlights, the bulb out dashlight appears and the drv side corner light failed to come on. Turn it off and on once or twice and it would come on and stay on as long as it was turned on. Some days 2 out of 7 let's say and it would turn on 1st try.

Now entering into the 4th month of this the corner fails to come every try and turning it off and on does nothing.

But today I get new tires put on and when I drove home from the shop I turned on the lights and the corner turned right on.

Anybody gone through this with a corner light not a headlight?

Thanks in advance

Have you checked the socket for corrosion? I know it's common for the socket to get burnt out. In addition check the wiring.
