Actually looks good. Might take this into consideration. My pillars look dull.

My Ride: 2002 BMW 325xiT
Replaced the leather pull on the rear floor lid of my wagon

Hey e46 wagon fanatics,

Bought my 2002 325xiT recently -- and had been using the leather "tail" attached to the rear floor lid (which covers the spare wheel well and upper "smuggling compartment") to open the lid with my left hand while shoving things underneath with my right. Doable, but not so elegant.

While at the dealer buying something else, I noticed another customer calmly hanging his rear floor lid off the rubber surround between the rear hatch and the body. He then proceeded to load his smuggling compartment with two free hands. Cool.

When I asked him what mod he had done to attach the hanging feature, he seemed confused. I finally realized the feature he was using was actually stock -- my hook had broken off during the car's previous life, leaving only the "tail" behind.

$16 later, I had the replacement leather loop from the dealer. The plastic hook clips to the lid assembly when not in use, leaving a small leather loop to grab when initially raising the lid.

Cool!

--Mike

You mean Vinyl wrap

The weave on the pillars don't line up, if you have extra vinyl, consider aligning the vinyl and reapplying.

I'm serious. Lmao.

The drivers sun visor get used a lot more then the passenger side an the tension is not what it used to be.

I don't know if there's a way to re-tension the visor so it folds up tightly against the headliner like the passenger side does. Or do I just have to replace it.

I wonder how bad that CF vinyl will look after one summer being on the exterior of the car. Or even one rainy night.

Oh haha. Sorry.

I guess you'd have to replace it. You can't really repair those things if they are made similarly to the ones I handled all the time.

What I did for my E46:

Got pulled over for the first time on the way to work. 74 in a 55. Anyway the plant I work at is in a tiny town. My coworker's dad is THE police officer. He let me go haha. I am disappointed that I already used my "get out of a ticket free" perk. If I get pulled over again, he'd have to ticket me. I think 1 year is enough to reset that right?

I replaced the OFHG and the Vanos oil line. It's easy once you get to it. Having to remove the alternator was a pain.

I cannot seem to locate just the BMW performance shifter and cup/clip. Everyone wants to sell me the E60 shifter which appears to be a different part number.
