Pronunciation is something you should have learned in elementary school. If you want to think "common knowledge" is correct then I suggest you watch the following so you can be reminded just how stupid the "average" person is http://videolicious.tv/2009/06/the-b...-tonight-show/

Cliffs: People are stupid in general. Beemer is pronounced how it is spelled and is not the nickname for a car.

I say BMW. Saying bimmer (bih-mer) IRL makes you sound like a retard.

welllll if it spelled bimmer it must be pronounced that way

if you have any doubt that i am wrong, go ask a random stranger. ask 10, ask 100... "whats a common nickname for a bmw?"
It's not just spelling.. It's how it IS pronounced.

What event happens every year on the east and westcoast and attacks thousands?

A. "Beemer"Fest
B. "Bimmer"Fest (as in dinner Fest)

We already know the answer. Why you are continuing this argument is beyond me...

"Beemer" is the original term. Yes, it was applied to motorcycles, but it was based on the brand's initials, which are the same for the cars and the bikes.

Imagine what the motorcycle guys thought when someone came along and said "ooooh, I know you have a slang term for this brand already, but I'm going to create a slightly different, but almost identical one to refer to a different part of the brand. Oh, and then I'm going to stomp my feet and wrinkle my nose and act like a pretentious snobby little b1tch if anyone doesn't adhere to my completely random and nonsensical version of this entirely unofficial slang term."

Trust me... i take everything they say with a grain of salt. But logically looking at this debate, its not possible to have a "right and wrong" since this "word" isn't even a word, its a slang.

In that case, majority wins. If you want to change my mind, i'll wait until people start saying "nice bihmer" and the toll changes just a tad

Chase you are being very stubborn. Bad hair day? <3
