Well, if you can't code it with pasoft then you need to use NCS Expert.

I have a 2000 e46. I just purchased 1.4.0 scanner. I am running windows 7 32bit. I have installed the drivers and software correctly but whenever i plug it to the car i am getting "connection error with ike" problem. I have read about it some say you need to bridge pins 7and8 which I checked it was already bridged and some say any model under 2001 need 20pin plug because you need to plug it the one under the hood not the one under the dashboard . i am really confused .Please direct me.

Yes that's correct, if you have the 20-pin plug then use it to read all the modules.

I can actually scan and read the error codes from under the dashboard even thought I get " connection error with ike" so to adjust the features of the car I need to get rid of the error code I believe where I need 20 pin plug right?

The dashboard connector will only give you access to the DME and EGS. Any other module will not respond.

20-pin will give you access to all modules.

One of my key suddenly can not start the car (01 330 vert) after I play around with PAsoft. Is it possible the software (could be my stupid A%%) deactivated the key in EWS? Weird thing is - the one can not start the car can and will start the car within 10s of my other key after starting the car.

Got the key fix. It now crank the car. I did follow AC 2007 recommendations. Thanks

Hi AC 2007/Terraphantm - any of you recode/reprogramming EWS using PAsoft?

What exactly are you trying to do? You can change around a few features which are available from the options list, however you cannot change the software version of the unit itself.

This is the AUC sensor, it decides when the outside air is too dirty for you to breathe and recirculates cabin air:

There is a foam-like sponge inside of it which needs to be cleaned/replaced. Search threads made by "dmax", he has a step by step DIY regarding the fix.

It's amazing to me that a non M E46 is such a beautiful car but the E46 M has never done much for me.

That's your rainsensor (Automatic Interval Control)
Maybe you need to code it with ncs expert/sss/dis.

I Just used my scanner for the first time to try and disable the comfort feature on my windows. This faulted during a rain storm overnight and I came outside to a fully opened car that now has soaked carpets. Anyhow, I was able to disable the comfort feature via Key Fob, but no option came up to disable the mechanical lock action of the comfort feature. Im seeing screenshots of peoples software and the Comfort feature via mechanical lock shows up as an option. For what its worth I was not able to access most modules besides ZKE and maybe a couple others. Any idea why the mechanical lock route for comfort feature doesnt show up?

Thanks!

If someone could upload their EEPRom for sunroof module (sedan), I will be very thankful. Only with PA Soft I was able to figure out why sunroof had issues and died on me.

Will ship my scanner for you to use.

Most of us want to make one change, or otherwise make changes that are permanent. At least I did.

So I was thinking...since my scanner just sits in my garage, I would be willing to ship it to another forum member...you can make your changes, then ship it back...all you do is pay for shipping.

Heck, if we can get a few people interested, we can arrange it to be shipped directly to the next member.

You will need to PM with your real contact/mailing info, and a phone number I can call to confirm.

Would include the BMW scanner w/ Pa Soft 1.4.0 & cable, as shown below.

What do you think?
