My Ride: PTG2001 E46 M3 GT V8
PTG 2001 E46 GT V8 / Race Ready again

Just wanted to share.
In May of 2012 I purchased Chassis 004. PTG 2001 E46 M3 GT V8.
One of 6 cars built by BMW of North America and PTG. One of 2 V8 cars. A Carbon Fiber body powered by an E39 M5 5 liter motor. This is the first V8 BMW M3 to Race in North America and the predecessor to the GTR.
For those of you that have been around for a while this is the Bell Motorsports Car. Built specifically to beat Porsche in Grand Am racing. In it first season the car and team garnered 3 wins, 1 overall at Lime Rock, 5 podiums and 9 top ten finishes. Finishing 2nd in points for the 2001 season. Drivers, Hans Stuck, Boris Said, Terry Borcheller, Toney Jennings.
Just completely refreshed for Vintage racing by Tom Milner at PTG. This was the last car out the door at PTG. Finished as they closed their doors for good last month.
Setting up test days in April at VIR to shake down and do set up
Not enough room to tell the whole story here. Ill keep you posted.
