Well first off, it was the longest/scariest/craziest drive home I have ever had. I left Chicago around 3 pm on Friday and got home at 8 am on Saturday. I hit pretty heavy snow on I-80 at around 2-3 am with 300 or so miles to go. At the time I was following a group of semi's that were cutting a pretty good track for me. Once I got closer to Colorado I was pretty much on my own driving on snow covered roads with pretty bad visability. To be honest, I'm really lucky I didn't crash the damn thing. Once I got home I had to shovel the driveway and half the street just to get the thing in the garage.

In the end though I made it home safe and have a gorgeous car sitting in the garage.

The car is just about perfect. The silver grey/imola may be my new favorite color combo. Originally it was Alpine White and imola but the silver grey just looks so damn good in person. The Motons, stoptech bbk, and ess blower are obviously amazing. The power is out of this world. As soon as 4k hits the car is like a rocket ship that never stops pulling. I don't think I will ever get over that. Sad thing is I could upgrade the pully/tune and add meth for a sh1t ton more power. I don't think that will be needed though. Overall the car is super clean and well modded.

The only down sides are there is a small dent on the rear passenger fender, it's not bad though and will be cheap to have it removed via PDR. The other downside is the drivers side seat bolsters are pretty warn. I'm hoping I can clean them up a bit and make them a lot better. They have the fully adjustable bolsters though which is pretty baller.

Overall I'm stoked, it is an awesome car that for the time being needs absolutely nothing done. All the maintenance is up to date with everything from the valve adjustment and bushings done less than 6k miles ago. The only things I want are CF grills/gilles to go with the CF mirror covers and CF vinyl roof (which I'm not really a fan of) and angle eyes.

I think that is enough for now.

Sounds like a killer ride! Glad you made it home in the snowstorm, but at least now you have a great story to go with it!

The power will dull over time and you'll be ready to add more power one day, lol.

I don't know man, not sure I could put any more power down on the track.

I anxious to see what the power delivery is like on track and if I have any overheating issues.

I can't wait for it to get nice out so I can test this ole girl out. The extent of my fooling around consisted of a few 3rd gear pulls coming down on ramps.

So I drove Ryan's new E36 today. It honestly has to be one of the cleanest E36's around and he did get a good deal. Im excited to drive it after he as the shocks tuned in and the alignment fixed for street.... and a straight pipe

Kevin does have one I believe but he stopped letting people borrow it because they kept screwing it up and wouldn't fix it.

I will not make the Flat out Classic. I was originally planning on it but they moved it up in the year which just isn't gonna work out. I have barely even driven it and with work being so crazy I will not have time to look the car over how I would like before then.

I'm trying to plan a DE here in Colorado, I know Kevin and Ryan have talked about coming out to visit on a weekend and doing a DE. You would be invited as well if you wanted.

I figured I'd probably just have to buy one, surprised you could screw one of those up?

Yeah, if you don't get it lined up just right you can either cross thread it or bend the all thread. It happens all the time.

I think BimmerWorld rents them.

The only bad thing about owning one is that if you replace the oem RTAB with anything other than OEM you will never need it again if you replace them again because all the aftermarket options come in halves.

I drove the M3 to work today. It was so great to be able to just cruise with the radio on in my heated seats, I didn't realize how much I missed that.

I'm so glad I waited for a M3 with heated seats. Although it makes it sooo hard to not drive it every day during the winter
