Easily the most difficult photo I've ever taken.
What exactly made it difficult? Directly into the sun?

No it was the whole remotely flying through fog 500 feet in the air and holding it level and drift free while timing the pan just right, with my entire childhood's livelihood on the brink of destruction from the slightest miscalculation .

If you don't get it just right the horizons get all screwed up, which is difficult when you don't have any video feed!
This being an example of a screwed up one.

Never did lose a single camera bird though. I don't think I'd ever experienced such pucker factor as the first time I sent my then new 5D up, it represented my entire net worth as a kid .
