sad to see that you deleted most of the content. As an enthusiast, particularly FI/M3. I was intrigued to see this one progress to the end and to see the parts used, which combination proved bes, which custom dss axles, what cams or valves,..etc.etc.. Instead of proposing "my M3 will be the fastest here, there, wherethe"F"ever...just post because of the passion for the project, not as a dick measuring contest. Im sure most members were discouraged to see most of the content deleted.

Well, interesting. I'll find the source of my information and post it up as well: http://www.billswebspace.com/MS54B32TrainingModule.pdf

Ok maybe I read more into the manual than exists. The middle of page 17 says that the exhaust valve finger supplies oil to the cam journal bearing, not that it sprays oil on the springs and valve shaft. My mistake.

Lower retainers are not titanium, they are steel.

Valves are custom made, learnt a hard lesson, when a off the shelf valve let go at 8600 rpm one day, causing a total loss of engine. From there on I decided to get custom valves, custom means material and weight.

As of today, I have 5 different sets of camshafts. Still 1 set of them not tested.

DLC coated rocker arms.

Vanos is on the car, vanos delete caused loss of torque, tested back in 2007.
I know what you mean about off the shelf not being strong enough. I had a exhaust valve and lock actually pull through a titanium retainer.

You need to do a lot to these engines to push limits with them. One of the reasons I'm going LSx conversion

E46 M3 AWD Sedan is mechanically 90 % ready.

Coil over kit / stoptech 355 mm brake kit on all 4 corners / LSD front diff / LSD E46M3 Coupe Rear Diff with OS Giken LSD / adjustable rear control arms / RTAB limiters / new bushings for rear axle are all installed.

New OEM parts such as front wishbones, front bushings, front steering arms are all replaced with new ones.
Chasis reinforcement is finished on the rear of the "sedan" M3.

Twin turbo kit is finished on the car. Will be running on 100 % alcohol, methanol only, as I was running on M3 coupe.

We will swap Pectel ECU from my M3 Coupe into this M3 Sedan AWD along with all the electronic goodies, sensors, awd control unit, transmission control unit... This will take 2 more weeks and we will be able to hit the roads by the 1st of may. A speedo with MILES has been bought, I thought a MILE SPEEDO would suit my test purposes as I am after 60-130 miles.

Thanks God.

5000+ sq ft where I live lol. But hey, if I had that kinda change Lord knows I'd be doing it to. Look at Jay Leno, every car enthusiast would be just like him if they could.

Thanks God, today we have cranked the engine of XM3. I thank God for giving / allowing me such a unique Project.

Oil system required modifications so we tested oil pressure.

The engine Works properly.

Second thing was to "activate" the "all Wheel drive" system.

Yes the front axles are empowered whenever I want them to turn.

Hope to start road tests at the beginning of may.

Very nice! Looking forward seeing it in action! What I like about you, is that you are so determined, that you tell everyone your schedule, rather then using the term "soon", wich seems to mean anything between 3 days and 3 years in the M3 world..

stage 1 comes on @ xxxx rpm

stage 2 comes on @ yyyy rpm.
