Rattling/Chattering Noise Under Acceleration

My 2001 330ci makes a rattling/chattering noise while under medium/heavy acceleration. I have done all sorts of research and have read threads of similar cases caused from: broken exhaust clamp, heat shield, flex disc, vanos, tensioner, etc. but I'm still unsure.

It is difficult for me to diagnose where the noise is coming from because it only happens in gear, under acceleration. For the same reason, I can't really record audio of the noise because of all the road/wind noise while driving. It makes the noise at all RPMs, in all gears (5-speed), at all engine temperatures, etc. It makes me think it would be some sort of driveline issue?

Any ideas? Thanks guys.

I put a mic under my car. Is this what it sounds like?

After putting this off for WAY too long, I finally found it to be the DISA valve. The car also started making a hissing/whistling noise which was taken care of as well!

What is the DISA valve? werre you able to replace yourself or did you have to go to dealer?

Search. It's held on by 3 bolts in front of the engine. A 12 year old girl could change it out.
