Hey guys,

Looking to offload my E46. I love her and really don't want to let it go, but need to get more bang for my buck. I've got a kid on the way and need something bigger and possibly save what I'm currently paying per month. In total, it'll be 700-800 per month on repayments and fuel (drive 400km/week), excluding parts and labour I've put into it. What's a fair price for it? 2001 330i, TiSilver, Imola Red interior, M sport package, xenon lights, 110k kms, beautifully maintained - mechanical, body, and interior. I'm thinking 17k.

And what's you thoughts on E90 320d? How's the boot size and what issues do you guys know of. Heard there was a problem with turbo on it, need to look further into it.

If it makes you feel any better the guy that purchased my car did a PPI on that car and there was a 15mm crack in the subframe. Apparently the owner was aware but thought it would go unnoticed and didnt say anything - hence the very low price.

This forum is awesome.

edit: Chris, in case the current deposit-holder backs out due to identifying the subframe crack... you should let the owner know you're willing to buy to buy it even with the crack. That price, even with the repairs added on top (~$6k), is really good imo.

I reckon about 30-32k would be right dependant on any other maintenance requirements.

There's no point paying a huge premium for a manual. Just buy an SMG, do the conversion and flog the old pump. You'll only end up out of pocket by about 1-1.5k based on what I've read from guys doing it in the states.

I was about to say that for that price there must be something wrong with it, then I saw the comment on the subframe...

I've strongly considered that Dec but it would be in the shop for way too long and I'm highly dependent on a car, also extremely lazy (in terms of purchasing a beater til its fixed after the pump failure). If I do succumb to that I wouldn't be too bothered by it since I'm planning to keep it for a while.

And Miss325 that price should be about right for all of them IMO, the demand price for most of them is way too inflated.

Ah well - also looking at a z4m roadster or coupe. Keeping my options opened!
