My Ride: 6spd ZHP/5sp XI
Should I buy this XI?

Been looking to get an XI for a little bit now because my wife and I go up in the mountains quite a bit. I would keep taking the ZHP up as its done fine but, I keep risking getting a ticket due to not having chains. On top of that the wife is from the UK and I'm forcing her now to get her license. Fed up with being the one having to drive her everywhere.

Well I won't buy and auto and I'm been hunting around for a 5 or 6 speed black or dark blue because that's what the wife wants. I found one that is close with 81k on it and had a PPI done on Thursday and my mechanic said it was a good car with some minor things that are around that mileage.

RF CV boot - slight tear
Power Steering Res needs to be replaced
OFHG is starting to seep
cabin filter
missing sun screen and sun roof won't open all the way.

Was recorded to be in an accident, The guy rear ended someone but it only left a very slight mark on the front bumper that you can hardy see. It also had a crack in the rear bumper but again you could hardly see it. Mechanic said most likely the PO backed into something.

All of the about stuff is easy for me to take car of and the car looks really clean.

They are asking $14,900 and I pulled them down to $12,000 and walked because I still thought it was to much for the car. Now they want $12,300 and the sales manager(not the sales guy I was dealing with) of the place was a total douche, so I gave him a piece of my mind tonight and told him I would rather him drive it into a lake before I would pay that price. Well long story short my wife is pissed at me for going off on the guy and thinks even if we sit on it they won't call back because I ripped into him so bad. Am I crazy for staying at 12? They won't budge on $12,300.

Here is the car below.

Btw you guys should call and ask for DJ and tell them you won't take the car for less then 12 LOL. This dude was a serious douche.

you did the right thing, 14900 was too high for that car with that mileage, even 12k you can get better deals at cars.com. honestly though I dont mind paying more for car if i get good customer service and I am treated right, that why I buy from reputable dealers. Part of the getting a new car is the experience and joy of purchase, if thats messed up I will always have a bad taste for that car

I know the prices in NW are typically higher but that's just too much.

It would have to be perfect for more than 12. The dealer is taking advantage of no other manual on the market at the moment.
Stay patient, the winter is pretty much over so you got time.

Agreed. You did the right thing. I got my xit for 8400 with 91k. It needed half shafts, a window regulator, and sunroof cassette repair. Granted it is auto but for three pedals an upcharge of 3-4k is not worth it imho.

Well if you guys find a decent west coast 5 or 6 speed manual XI hunt me down. Wife only wants black or that orient blue. I'll travel anywhere really does't matter. Just don't want something coated in rust from the east coast.
