Sadly, I think that would be a prudent move. It shouldn't have to be that way, but given the current trends, it's probably the smart move.

Buying a round because you plan to only make head shots is akin to buying a boat and going out into the ocean without a life jacket or survival suit because you think you're a good enough captain to not need them.
Why would you buy a round so that you can only effectively count on a low probability shot? Why not buy something that has capability for incapacitation with both low probability (CNS) and high probability (thoracic cavity) target locations?
