Thats how my car came. I have a cigg ligheter in my bottom console above the DSC button. And in the glove i took out the flash light and bought the BMW flash light adapter that allows you to plug shit into it.

No, you have to upgrade to a MY2003 head unit.

Hello guys,
I have a 2003 330CI, and just recently bought this aux kit and installed it. To my surprise it doesn't work!!!

My car came with a "Business" tape deck head unit. And I noticed on the manual of the aux kit it says that it's for an "in dash CD stereo", however the guy that sold it to me told me that as long as my car was a 2003 or up it should work.

When I press the MODE button it switches from radio to CD to TAPE and then back to radio, but no AUX !!!

I was really looking forward to hear my MP3 player in my car and I cant!!! If anyone has installed this kit with a head unit like mine, let me know if you had any problems or not. Or if some one knows why it may not be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi guys I am REALLLYYY interested in getting the aux input

I have a 2003 330ci with a cd head unit (no nav). So the aux input costs about $40? where can I buy this? is it an easy DIY? Does pacific BMW sell this also? since I probably will also be buying the auxilary power adapter from them (to save on shipping cost)

Also should is it better if I let a dealer install the aux input? my first service is due up anyways.

I got it at a dealer in Austin, TX. But I'm sure most dealers will have it. If not check www.circlebmw.com, they usually have accesories a little bit cheaper than the dealers.

I found the DIY very simple. I guess it'll depend on what they want to charge you to install it, but I heard in threads of people paying from $150-200 in the CA area.

If I can ask you guys a favor, if somebody can find out with a delaer whether this is supposed to work with a cassette deck no nav with CD changer please!!! I haven't been able to make mine work.....
