i did it my self. took about 2 hours with breaks. i was all hunched in the trunk in weird positions. i do not recommend this to large people.

more money now

NavTV just jacked up their price for the unit
it was 1100 which was much now its 1295.
they just did it yesterday
that blows huh

and its still mono because thats what the stock nav plays in

I want it but 1300 is a lot and I was also going to get the reverse camera which is 295

then I was going to get a pair of SAVV screens for 850

an expensive project and stillneed a small dvd player

How was the install? Long........? how much time??? Is it quite basic....I mean I can soder and splice wires and a little more......

Does anyone know of a DIY for just hooking up a dvd player to nav? I don't really car about the TV but I just want DVD and ps2. And will it play while in motion?

here is some reading for you if you are trying to make your own nav tv: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...hlight=bmw+nav

But I think you need the TV module regardless to make it work.. I believe the TV module gives you a "television" choice on your NAV so you can view video:
