Has anyone tried the radio nav from ebay/china?

There is a aftermarket radio nav listed on ebay for $450 made for the bmw. Has anyone tried this? Just wondering if it is any good.

Pioneer and Sony and yada yada

Dynavin is a knock off of the above

Knock offs of knock offs sounds like a very dumb move.

Spend the extra cash to buy a dynavin through Jeff at dynavin solutions and save yourself a lot of headaches

Posts in those threads don't seem bad at all unless you can't solder or flash. If you can do that, why pay extra for name brand that does the same.

Did you buy the one with windows ce or android? How's the navi on it? Also do you have to have wifi on your cell phone to use the gps map?

To use the Android you need wifi hotspot but I find that the maps on the Android takes much longer to find a satellite than the windows version which basically works straight away. Also if you have an Android phone, you wouldn't use the Android in the car, well I don't.

The media side of the system is the same in both.

I have Android in the m and windows in the x5. I don't really use the GPS in the car so doesn't really affect me with either version.

I have the chinese one in my vert running windows ce, it has all that the oem one came with; bt usb 2 micro sd slots 1 for music 1 for maps, tv sat nav dvd player ive had it about 3 yrs and the only problems i have found are, not great in sunshine, in cold weather it keeps swapping screens ie tv radio sd card etc and i cant find out how to update the maps on the sd but thats not a big problem as i only use it occasionally apart from that its been a good purchase for me, it cost 380 at the time
