Interior map light swap question.

Hey i have a 2000 323i.
The interior map center light was toast so i bought a replacement from a 330 and the new one has 3 buttons and 3 bulbs. My old one had 1 button and 2 bulbs. When i plug it in only the middle light goes on the right and left do nothing. It was plug and play however i think maybe it isnt wired right? New bulbs? Thanks
