D.C. and Harbor info

So, thinking of heading to DC for MDW. Need some info:
-nice hotel near the capital
-top dining spots ($100-$200 for 2)
-nice lounges, not the 21-25 crowd
-stuff to do near Baltimore Harbor other than walk the Aquarium and shops.
(no sporting events or car meets please)

(Does anyone know a club that used to be an old electrical plant. It was also near the capital area down an alley way. Pretty cool spot but it was easily 10 yrs ago) Wonder if it has been renamed/reinvented as something else.

Any and all comments appreciated

The club you are referring to was The Bayou. http://www.wtop.com/41/3232993/Docum...he-Bayou-VIDEO

He is talking about Blues Alley. All lot has changed in 10 years. Several of the clubs / bars / restaurants in the area are gone / relocated. A decent compromise would be staying at the National Harbor

The Bayou was the club on Waterfront street. (bottom of M St. / under the Whitehurst FWY). Now that spot is a multiplex theater.

In Baltimore, go to the Inner Harbor also, there is the National Aquarium and a lot of shops and restaurants all around.

Blues Alley is not like a "club".. its a jazz "listening" type club. Some nights they do allow r&B artist to perform. That's located in Georgetown in DC.
