sorry to bring back an old thread but I am going to buy either the depo or ee clear version from Khoalty but im not sure which one to go with.

Im leaning towards the depo ones because of the first picture listed for the coupe model. It shows the tailights with half white and half red trunk lights which i like way better than the thin strip of white. my question is will i be getting those if i order the depo version because some of the other pictures have strips for reverse lights instead of 50/50.

Hopefully someone from Khoalty can tell me which ones id be getting? thanks

My understanding is that the half and half is for pre-facelift and then BMW moved to the strip for the facelift. I think whatever you'll get is entirely dependent on what fitment you select.

The half and half ones are OEM trunk pieces re-used with our LED tail offerings. Both EE and DEPO have the 'slim' look reverse light, but you can re-use your OE trunk lighting to get the look you want

I also have Eagle Eyes bought from Jlevisw. After two years, one taillight was intermittently working so I had to order two new capacitors (that black box), from Jlevisw for 20 bucks.

Do prefacelift sedans need a resistor for LED tails?

I have EE tails but the drivers side has been acting up and now crapped the bed. I have turn signal but no stop and tail so I assume the fault is in the LED itself not the resistor or capacitor boxes. Anyway to buy just the one side without the wiring? I have voltage at the circuit board also, not 12v but the ground I was measuring to was weak.

Had mine over 4 years and now one died. Just don't want to buy a complete set to replace one LED. All the controls work.

I tracked my issue to that box. Turn signal worked so I thought the lamp was the problem but turn signals bypass the caps. If I jingle and squeeze the resin, lights come on and off.

Decided to reflow the solder on the circuit board for the capacitor pack and now lights work consistently. Could have been a cold solder crack but I still am looking for a capacitor pack and I will keep this one as a spare.
When this capacitor pack went out, I got no light warning.

Mine worked well for over 4 years until one side went bad. I have been able to fix it, I hope. The appearance and low battery drain are worth it. All my small bulbs, interior and license plate, are LED. I'm looking into ways to convert my front markers and turn signals to LED too.
