Went to the range today to burn some ammo.....

I found a range thats only 10 minutes from me, went out there to check it out and do some shooting today.

Ran ~100-120 rounds through the AR-15, very happy with all those shots.... Tried running ammo through my PPX, but had some issues. My local gun shop is buying ammo from a commercial re-loader that does the ammo for some local police departments ( roughly all our police depts within a 2 hour radius from what I'm told) - about once every 4-5 rounds it'd have trouble completely loading & locking the chamber. This gun shoots the Fiocchi rounds I have just fine... anything I should look at before I call my gun shop about the ammo?

No, get the ammo replaced or notify the reloader. What is the name of the reloader?

I'll be honest.... don't know. My gun shop is getting the ammo crated/loose from this source. Only thing I know is that normally this loader takes care of several of the local police depts, and is supposed to be reputable.

I almost called the gun shop owner today, but I didn't want to bug him at home. I'll call him on Monday when he's open...

I just wanted to make sure this isn't something that is "normal" for new pistols, as I'm still fairly new to handguns. However, I figured I ruled that out with the Fiocchi ammo shooting smoothly.

I called the gun shop today - and like I said, I know these guys very well... practically family being our hunting partners & such. They've personally used this ammo in guns (not my gun or gun brand specifically) - havent had a problem. Also have had zero complaints yet - although they weren't sure if folks were actually shooting the ammo that is being bought. They're going to save a couple boxes of the Fiocchi ammo that works fine in my gun next time it comes in. They'll keep me posted if they get any complaints...
