Xenon AL High beam not working

Hey guys so recently my ballast went out in my driver side AL headlight. I replaced that and the headlight turns on again but the high beam does not.

I know the ZKW's have a moving arm for the shutter but is it possible to fix the AL headlights when the shutter isn't moving?

Thanks

No it's not. The headlight comes on but the high beam will not. It's only on that one side. The passenger side high beam works perfectly, it's just the driver side one that isn't coming on.

Basically the shutter isn't moving

Sorry, I didn't see this until now. O.k., so did the problem start immediately after you changed to the "new" ballast? If so then it may be the ballast. The wiring for the bi-xenon shutter is wired through the ballast. I don't see this happen often but it is possible. One thing I would check is the connection that attaches directly to the solenoid motor inside the housing. There is a three wire plug that may be disconnected. If that is connected the next thing I would do is jump a positive wire to the middle pin of the connector for the bi-xenon shutter. This will make sure that the problem isn't between the LCM and bi-xenon shutter connector on the ballast holder. If that doesn't get anything to work. I would change your ballast from one side to the other and see if the problem follows. If it does then the problem is in the ballast. Which it sounds like it may be.
