a dual 10" sub box in a vert? custom built perhaps but you would lose a lot of space. If you are doing the install yourself, I suggest a simple 8" sub in the ski pass. build a mounting for it, really not super hard, use black felt to cover it

Building a box is easy, cheap, and you can make it any size you want. I laugh every time someone wants to buy a custom box - either they don't care about wasting money or have NO craftsman skills.

Do it right and take your time. It will take at least two days to build it right with all necessary time for drying.

Dude theres no way to get through my ski-pass.looking at the rear seats from the trunk there is no seperate carpet, just one big peice and looking from the cabin, theres a hole and everything just no way to get to the trunk. And i dont really mind about losing space. dont haul anything around in my vert. My girl has a SUV so im good,

The black thing in ski pass can be removed.
If you want to do what i did I'll tell you:
1. you'll need to remove back seat, lower, then upper.
2. Remove the black ski pass cover, youll then see that the back of it is removable.
3. I removed my rear carpet and cut the middle square section out to mount my sub.
Now, I mounted my sub plate which was basically a 3/4" piece of plywood with a slightly smaller than 8" inches hole in the center, to the back of the trunk wall.

i realize my install isn't perfect, but it was first attempt at something like this as we did not want to lose trunk space in the car we take on trips, but my gf wanted more bass than her speakers could do, and she had bought the bsw speaker replacement kit already.
See the area where there's a square in the metal? that is the ski pass, it's there trust me, pull out that black cover piece you see in your pics and remove the back plate.
If you want to do it this way. I think it's a piece that would be difficult to put back.

cool. Post pics! Where are you thinking of mounting? Underneath pull down top compartment? Or in the trunk corners? Or could remove spare tire and mount in that area.

Either under convertible top (when its pulled down-soit wont complicae my top function) or delete spare tire and mount down there. If worse comes to worse then in the open space and have zero trunk space. I will be making a buld thread! Thanks!

It's not hard to do it. Just measure, then measure again, cut, and then you're gonna need to use wood glue, wood silicone, screws and MDF board.

My first set up has what you are looking for. ..just search my pics/posts. ..ski pass subs
So far it is a free air setup, but I am going to do a sealed setup with both 10's.... just give me a few months. Oh I had the same deal. .. plastic cover and full carpet.
