Pectoral Tendinitis...

Had a EKG and X-Ray done... all seemed fine. Had a chest pain in the middle of my chest for the past 4 months, thought taking a light break would help, went back to lift 2 months ago and felt the pain come back as soon as I benched.

The pain is sharp but dull enough to the point where it doesn't stop me from lifting. Feels like my chest bone is being bent in half without ever snapping. I was able to stretch out my chest until I heard/felt a "pop" sound several times but the pain would persist.

Doctor put me on anti-inflammatory and told me to take it easy for a few weeks. Hope its just tendinitis and that it finally goes away.

I have a similar pain when I ring dip. It's a sharp pain but goes away very quickly after I'm done.

are you taking fish oil significantly every day? That & eating more wild fish could help you heal quick. (I know it sounds dumb)

Could be something similar... just make sure your form is near perfect and that you don't exasperate the injury if any. I've had bicep tendinitis (arm-wrestling my ex's father which was about a 3 minute event) and tendinitis in my forearm. Bicep tendinitis killed my pull-ups for a long while, while the forearm tendinitis was the worst pain I've felt... every time I put the barbell down after a curl it felt like my whole forearm was on fire.

I've weaned completely off supplements, but will start taking a multi and fish oil in the mornings to prepare for my return to my workout routine in a few weeks... anything to help this shiit end sooner.

I also had the doctor draw blood to check my test levels... going to see where I'm at with that.

I want to get a test level check done too, interested to see where it is at.

Reason being with fish oil is that it contains omega 3's, and if you take 5-6 capsules a day + aren't guzzling down nuts/vegetable oils all the time it will do a lot more to prevent inflammation than those pills the doc gave you.

I'm really curious.. always have been. I find myself fatigued all the time from doing nothing... probably because I haven't lifted in a while. I've heard of people taking d-aspartic acid and their test levels shooting up 100-300mg.

Going to start taking Tribulus and Horny Goat Weed after the tests results come back, and may add a small amount of D-Aspartic acid to my PWO mix. Do that for a couple of weeks and get retested.

Taking Omega 3-6-9 ATM. Going to order straight fish-oil with my next BB order.

I've experienced this. It manifested when I had a beast of a sneeze and heard a pop that originated from where my septum and ribs meet. It hurt to perform any chest exercises. I had severe allergies and kept hearing the same pop. I took X-Rays and everything came back negative. I ultimately had to stay away from chest exercises for ~5 months and ease back in. I now don't bench nearly as heavy. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
