A really dead battery won't always jump start. The bad batt sucks all of the juice. Swap a good battery in and see what happens. Key should still start the car just no remote door locks.

My money is on the battery. It sounds just like what a dead battery would act like. In addition, the alternator may be grouchy as well.

Hey hey hey, I got everything working! The battery was faulty and that's why it wouldn't start the second time. It was only pushing around 9volts and even when boosted, was just sucking the juice out of the good battery.
