My Ride: 2002 330ci
Bluetooth and MFSW

I recently bought an 02 330ci. Has an older aftermarket Alpine head unit (I think it retailed for over a grand about 10 years ago!) but the CD player is broken. It's hooked to the stock HK system.

I'm not looking to improve sound quality, only to add modern conveniences. I want to make calls and stream music via Bluetooth. And I would like to be able to run it through my MFSW. So I am thinking I will just buy a stock head unit and couple that with a MediaBridge or something similar.

What factory head unit should I be looking for?

Or are there any good aftermarket alternatives worth looking at that will give me BT and MFSW functionality? Unfotunately I can't justify the expense of Dynavin.

Thx!

Dynavin is as close to factory as far as installation and wiring and has all the bells and whistles of an aftermarket player

Remember the form has a really good post on the various head units that are available for the three series that is the E46. A quick search should turn up the post. Basically the post tells you the various capabilities of the head units as well as their part numbers. While I like the look of DIN and and double DIN head units I strongly preferred the look of OEM.
