Rear TV - no power, no picture

I asked this question on xoutpost.com but got no replies.

http://www.xoutpost.com/electronics/...rtainment.html

This is for the 02 4.6is X5.
I have an overhead tv screen for the rear entertainment, but there isn't any power going there? At least I think so.
The rear dvd changer accepts and ejects the cassette normally, but doesn't light up to inform u of any disc is present.
In the rear boot it has the BMW 6-disc changer and also an Alpine 6-disc changer, Alpine DHA-5680. I only have one 6-disc cassette but it loads fine in both units?

Any thoughts where I should start?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Benny

not sure what the issue is, but start by checking for loose connections, and possibly remove the tv to see if actually works

power for the changers are different from the tv unit. is the tv factory or aftermarket? if its aftermarket there's a separate inline fuse for the power for it. look for any wires that are not factory looking (normally factory wires will be wrapped with black cloth like tape) check the battery if theres any wires hooked to it thats not factory.

Thanks. TV appears to be OEM, its in the build list for the vehicle. I will start looking at possible issues around the truck.

Double check your fuses also. Not sure which one it is but use a volt meter to test the two points of the fuse. Some time it may look good
