Are these safe to use with convertibles? I have trouble believing that it is unsafe to lower convertibles using similar kits since I see them all over the forum.

It should be fine. The only difference is suspensions made specifically for convertibles likely have stiffer or taller springs in the back to compensate for the extra weight

It's fine for a vert. I bought the kit for my 330i so it alrdy had sport suspension. The ride feels almost the same maybe a little stiffer. The drop was around a inch all around. My stock 17" tires sit just above the bottom of my fenders. Cheapest place I found them was Tirerack too.

Unfortunately tirerack has nothing for a convertible. At least it shows nothing if you select convertible models.

I put MEGAN COILOVERS on the car. last thursday/friday. have been adjusting the height and chamber but my z4 wheels are rubbing the lock key on the front struts (i drive a e46 325i). I may use wheels spacers but not liking the thought of it

Maybe that's why? I know nothing about "kits."

I'm using that chart and matching up the amount of drop to find what springs each kit has.

* What did you do to/for your E46 today? *

Fired lazy Detailer, hired better one! Total detail every 2 weeks! Installed all CF wheel roundels, CF steering wheel roundels, leatherette covered roof sensor "Pod"? Picked up lower bumper lip by Ikon, I know not the best but fitment is great. Just must prep edges and mold lines. To easy for 85$. Torn between flat black since car is alpine white, with smokes all around, black roof, smoked lic plate covers, and 5% tint all around. Total interior trim, ect cover with black leatherette. Blacked out eagle eyes. So black lip, or matching alpine white. Also thinking blacking side shirts. What would you think.[ATTACH]502345Click image for larger version

So black on the lip and side skirts or alpine white? Was thinking of plasti dipping them just to see if I like. It is going to be my boys 18th Bday present, just my experimenting platform!

I like covering things with the matching leatherette. You want yours done? Send me the pieces! I am 44 and retired! Got time on my hands and love working on euro cars my entire life since my first B in 1987 stationed in Germany.
