97% + 35% tint = 32%...?
97% + 5% tint = 2%...?

I guess I don't understand the math, but I've seen tint being measured before and it was 47%. The tint was 50%... So the window should have been 97%... Right?
This is the concept:

First, let us assume there are 3 components: the glass, the first layer of tint, and the second layer of tint.

-Assume 100% on glass
- 1st tint let's say 75%
- 2nd tint let's say 30%

Okay so the light goes through the glass. It still has not diminished. Then it goes through the 1st layer of tint. It is now at 75% intensity. Now you have 75% strength light entering the 35% tint. So you have to take 35% of 75%. Total tinting effect is 26.25%.

Your examples would be:

97% + 35% = 33.95% effective
97% + 5% = 4.85% effective

Think about it. If you had two pieces of glass that were tinted 50% and held them in front of you, stacked, you will still be able to see through them. It'll be 25%.

For reference, that is the "H&R Touring Cup Kit" that comes with "sport" springs. The "H&R Sport Cup Kit" comes with their "race" springs". They really need to fix that terminology.

Are they the same springs? H&R 29484 are considered sport for sport packaged and race for non-sport packaged. Same spring, different "title" depending on what car you install it to.

Maybe that's why? I know nothing about "kits."

Are these safe to use with convertibles? I have trouble believing that it is unsafe to lower convertibles using similar kits since I see them all over the forum.

It should be fine. The only difference is suspensions made specifically for convertibles likely have stiffer or taller springs in the back to compensate for the extra weight

It's fine for a vert. I bought the kit for my 330i so it alrdy had sport suspension. The ride feels almost the same maybe a little stiffer. The drop was around a inch all around. My stock 17" tires sit just above the bottom of my fenders. Cheapest place I found them was Tirerack too.

Unfortunately tirerack has nothing for a convertible. At least it shows nothing if you select convertible models.

I put MEGAN COILOVERS on the car. last thursday/friday. have been adjusting the height and chamber but my z4 wheels are rubbing the lock key on the front struts (i drive a e46 325i). I may use wheels spacers but not liking the thought of it

I'm using that chart and matching up the amount of drop to find what springs each kit has.
