Not bothering. 4-6 weeks I will have a built 427ci LSX in there. So the LS1 is coming out and I'm going to put it in my bro's miata

If I understood my previous research regarding this swap correctly, for the tach, I think that it is as simple as running a crank trigger (60-2 trigger wheel) works on the non-m's. I was debating on doing a swap and still am but don't have the money as I am still in school.

Keep us updated on how this goes.

That's correct. But that is manufacturing work to get the trigger wheel made. Why bother when you could just use a Dakota Digital Tacho interface box and take the tacho output from the LS ECU into that and the output of that to the crank trigger input for the BMW DME. No manufacturing required. All DIY.

For reference an M3 uses the intake cam sensor input for a tacho. Non M uses the crank trigger input for the tacho.
