As an automotive/motorcycle enthusiast to other enthusiasts, let this posting be clean and no argument or negative comments needed here. I put my time to organize and write this up for the buyer to avoid any surprises. I have nothing to hide and PM me or even text me at (614)937-0079 for any question. Both have clear titles. The M3 is coupe, and color: Arctic Silver. The R1 comes with one yellow/black color and is just one of a kind. Without proof of insurance and cash in hand, no test drive/ride. All of the major OEM components are still in hand and the price is negotiable if wheels/sound system upgrades/brakes come with the M3 or not.
The M3 is my wife's weekend car and the superbike is mine. Last year, my wife wanted me to improve the handling/stereo/brakes without sacrificing the ride. The R1 is one of the things that I collect (9600 miles now). We are mature drivers because we both are pretty closed to 40. For trade, look at the bottom of this ads because wifey wants M5 or E46M3 or something interesting. So now,
I. 2006 Yamaha R1 Limited Edition, Production #43 out of 500 in the US.
A. The Imperfection:
1. There are very small two touch up paint that I did on the tank and the right side tail.
2. The paint on the Marchesini rear wheel is peeling and beats me, I still can't figure it out why.
3. The Pro Grip has a quarter size rip due to the strap.
B. The Specs:
1. Special 50th Anniversary Yellow/Black paint with a numbered serial plate and gold Marchesini wheels; only 500 of these machines will be produced.
2. GP tech trickles down: Revised rigidity of the main frame between the engine mounts and steering head, a new, more rigid lower triple clamp and a 20mm longer swingarm produce the best-handling R1 ever.
3. Öhlins 43mm front fork and rear shock, fully adjustable, with hydraulic preload adjuster at the rear, provide ultimate handling on the track and the street.
4. Slipper clutch for smooth downshifts; revised clutch boss for increased oil flow.
5. Shorter valve guides increase intake flow and reduce friction, for more power.
6. Adjustable rear-shock linkage allows 10mm of ride height adjustability; the longer swingarm accepts a greater range of rear tire sizes.
7. Integrated lap timer switch on the right handlebar for track days.
8. Gold drive chain, gold M1-style tuning fork fuel tank badge, define this special R1 as a production racer.
C. The Engine:
1. Short-stroke 998cc, DOHC, 20-valve, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine now produces 183 horsepower (with Ram-Air) at an amazing 12,500 rpm.
2. Dual-valve fuel injection system uses motor-driven secondary throttle valves and 32-bit ECU for super-responsive, instantaneous power delivery.
3. Two-piece ergonomically designed fuel tank carries fuel in the rear section, for good centralization of mass, while the front half contains a Ram-Air-fed airbox for increased power.
4. Lay-down design cylinder head – 40° forward – optimizes weight distribution, straightens intake tracts for improved cylinder filling, and allows frame to pass over instead of around the engine for great strength and a narrow chassis.
5. Closed-deck cylinder block provides great strength while allowing a narrow engine in spite of big, 77mm bores.
6. Narrow-angle five-valve combustion chambers produce a highly efficient 12.4:1 compression ratio. Big valves and high-lift cams flow plenty of air.
7. Carburized connecting rods with fractured big ends produce a quick-revving engine with excellent high-rpm durability.
8. High silicon-content ceramic-composite cylinder sleeves ensure great heat dissipation for consistent power delivery and reduced friction.
9. Titanium underseat exhaust system (except for stainless steel midpipe with catalyst) contains a titanium EXUP valve for a broad, seamless powerband.
10. High-efficiency curved radiator and an aluminum liquidcooled oil cooler maintain stable operating temperature.
11. Direct ignition coils, dual-electrode spark plugs and highoutput magneto deliver extremely accurate, reliable firing.
12. AC generator behind cylinder block produces a narrow engine with excellent cornering clearance.
1. Overall frame width of only 15.6 inches produces comfortable ergonomics as well as efficient aerodynamic penetration.
2. Controlled Fill die cast, truss-type swingarm is very strong and long, for optimal traction and feedback.
3. Controlled Fill die cast, detachable aluminum subframe is light, strong and allows easy rear shock access.
4. Dual 320mm front disc brakes; light/strong, forged one-piece radial-mount calipers and Brembo radial-pump front master cylinder with adjustable lever delivers amazing braking power and controllability.
5. Fully adjustable Öhlins inverted telescopic front fork settings were carefully developed by MotoGP Championship-winning technicians to provide track-tuned handling.
6. Fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock was also developed by MotoGP technicians, and includes a super-convenient hydraulic preload adjuster.

G. Everything is stock except the GOODIES:
1. Carbon Fiber Throttle with SCS (Speed Control System) Pro Grip with Gel Touch and the wires that I added onto the grips.
2. Motul 600 brake fluid flush in summer 2009.
3. Water Wetter and water in Summer 2009.
4. Galfer stainless steel braided brake lines and semi aggressive pads.
5. Magnesium valve stems of Enkei prototype
6. AIS block offs from Graves
7. Always use Amsoil Synthetic Oil
8. The LE tool box comes with the bike.
9. The suspension was tuned by Ohlins suspension specialist of Superbike Suspension Shop for 165 lbs rider.
10. The exhaust has race baffles and the Y-pipe is gutted also.

II. 1998 BMW M3 Coupe Arctic Silver
1. 9/10, detailed twice a month because I am a weekend car-detailer as my side job.
2. Upgraded sound system (Less than 3000 miles) which were professionally installed by Sound Investment:
a. Detachable BSW (Bavarian Sound Autowerks) box-subwoofers (facing down) so the trunk is usable
b. Two Kicker amps
c. Pioneer AVH-P63000BT flip out screen (to save space) with DVD player (Sirius XM-radio and Navigation capabilities)
d. Clarion speakers to replace all of the old ones.
3. OEM Shifter knob and OEM leather shifter booth were replaced less than 10K miles ago.
4. Backup camera was installed less than 3000 miles ago
1. The body and paint is excellent for 14 year old car and as a perfectionist, they are 8.5/10 and waxed once a month.
2. All nicks on the body were treated with anti-corrosion.
3. Always garaged and barely driven. From the past two years, the M3 was driven 9000 miles.
4. It's almost impossible to get all of the rust out but in 14 years, the rust on bolts and a few areas are starting to show. The rust bubble starts to show up (less than size of a quarter) at the fuel filler area.
C. Fluid and oil:
1. The gear oil is Amsoil and was changed less than 4000 miles ago.
2. Super Blue Racing brake fluid is less than 3000 miles ago.
3. Mobil 1 Synthetic and micro oil filter were always changed on time.
4. The Radiator fluid: 40% coolant, 40% distilled water, and 10% Redline Water Wetter.
D. Mechanical upgraded parts are picked out to have the best cornering ability without sacrificing ride quality:
1. Bilstein sport suspension and lowering springs on all 4.
2, Mason Engineering front tower brace and X lower sway bars (from the convertible 3 series) were installed ~15K miles ago.
3. All bushings were replaced with polyurethane bushings (less than 12K miles) except the trailing arms'. We picked TC Kline's for the better feel of the rear and installed less than 2000 miles ago.
4. Brakes: C5 Corvette's twin 40mm piston calipers (fronts) and Hawks race pads on all corners
5. Braided brake lines were installed less than 2000 miles ago.
6. Exhaust: straight pipes with a muffler and polished tips were installed 15K miles ago.
1. 109K miles.
2. Dinan chip stage 2
3. K&N air filter open element were installed by the previous owner.
1. A set of X5 wheels 17x7
2. A set of Enkei Falenk (spelling?) 18x9 Arctic Silver/black Powder coated
3. 6mm spacers in the fronts and 4mm spacers in the rear so the C5 front-calipers will clear the 18X9 Enkei falenk.
1. The Low beam is 100W each
2. The High beam is white/blue 60W each
1. I am pretty sure I have forgotten a thing or two so please, don't feel hesitate to contact me. I am not in a hurry to sell it because she has another car already.
2. About 3 weeks ago while detailing the M3, I found out that there is a hairline of crack on the lense of the fog-light, which will be my winter project
3. The OEM touch up paint was purchased about two weeks ago for my winter project to take care all of the nicks
4. Rotation won't be an issue with all of the wheels/tires.
J. Price: KBB value is ~$11K and I am asking only for $10K in stock form. But feel free to negotiate because the worst thing I can say is no.

1. The M3 and the R1 for E46M3 or E39/E60M5 or 4 door sport cars (example: S4, Evolution, STI). If yours plus the mods has better value, I'd be willing to throw in some cash, maximum $5K. Exterior color have to be black and manual transmission as wifey's request.
2. Those cars from the point #1, before the trade, will have to be inspected on 29 points and compression plus leak down tests performed. The local place where those tests will be taken will be chosen by me. Please feel free to do the same for wifey's M3 or my superbike._nr_
