My Ride: 2001 330i
FS: 2001 330i Sport Package 5MT, $7500, VA

E46 2001 BMW 330i, 121k miles
5-speed manual, Alpine white, beige leather interior, sport package
$7500, Fairfax VA

Options:

- Sport package (sport suspension, sport seats, sport steering wheel, unique front bumper/air dam found only on 2001 330i sport)
- Premium package (leather interior, power seats, moonroof, wood trim, rain-sensing wipers)
- Cold weather package (heated front seats, split fold-down rear seats, ski bag, headlight washers)
- Xenon headlights
- Harman Kardon stereo

This car isn't perfect, but it's awfully nice. I'm the original owner and I've loved every mile. But now thereís an F30 335i on the way from Munich, and the 330i has to go. The car is well-maintained, and I have all professional repair records, plus some of the records for work Iíve done myself. This car is all-factory, no silly aftermarket stuff.

The exterior is in excellent condition, with some scrapes on the front air dam and a few very small stone chips on the hood. There is not so much as a door ding on this car. The car was rear-ended last year just hard enough to puncture a few small holes in the rear bumper, the bumper and impact absorbers behind it were replaced with OEM parts by a BMW dealer. The car has never had any other damage.

Wheels are aftermarket Rial Como 17x7.5 with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position 225/45R17 summer performance tires. Tires have enough tread for about another year. The spare is an OEM BMW M68 wheel with the original (never used) Continental Conti-Sport 225/45R17 summer performance tire. Also included are winter wheels and tires, Sport Edition 17x7.5 (similar in design to the OEM E46 330xi wheels) with Dunlop Winter Sport M2 225/45R17 tires with plenty of tread.

Work thatís been done on the car:
- oil changes at 7,500 mile intervals, Mobil 1 synthetic
- front control arm bushings, PowerFlex urethane (2013)
- window regulators (all of them, most recently rear driverís door in 2013)
- cooling system refresh, radiator, thermostat, expansion tank, hoses (2012)
- CCV valve and all related hoses (2012)
- oil filter housing gasket (2012)
- GM5 door lock relays (2012)
- DISA valve (2009)
- all vacuum lines (2009)
- VANOS piston rings (Besian kit, 2009)
- sunroof actuator (2009)
- oil level sensor (2009)
- water pump (2008)
- transmission and differential fluid (2008)
- crankshaft position sensor (2007)
- camshaft position sensors (2006)
- rear subframe inspected under class action settlement
- blower motor and final stage resistor (2004)

Stuff thatís not near-perfect:
- ľĒ chip in windshield, up in the top passenger corner Ė professionally repaired and stable
- radio display recently went wacky (since the photos were taken)
- one key fob battery is dead
- small oil leak from oil pan gasket
- rear shocks are okay but tired, but since I havenít replaced them, you get to put in whatever you want
- rear trailing arm bushings could use replacement; I have new bushings and may or may not get them in before selling

Stuff I'll throw in:
- a slightly dirty copy of the Bentley Service Manual
- one or more oil and air filters, depending on how many I can find in the garage

Local sales only. I don't want the hassle of shipping and worrying about whether your payment is really good, and you don't want the uncertainty of not really, really knowing what you're buying. Too many horror stories on both sides!

I don't see a missing fan shroud. I want to point out that the manual and auto don't have the same fans under the hood. The auto uses the mechanical and "auxiliary" fans. While the manual uses an electric fan.

As basketthis said, there's no missing fan shroud. The manual transmission version uses a smaller electric fan than the automatic version.

I got a question today about the actual mileage of the car. As of today it is 120,551, but since it is my daily driver that's subject to some change. The photos showing 112K are from last fall, though there are no changes to the car since then. The car passed Virginia safety and emissions inspections last week.

Not that I intend to create more desire for a car that I am considering purchasing myself, but the electric fan is actually more desirable. And if purchasing an auto, one should consider the upgrade/mod immediately!

Yes. With some heel-and-toe, they last a long, long time.

**reduced** $5500

If you liked it before, you'll love it now. After reviewing a couple of trade-in offers, looking around more carefully at the local market, and re-evaluating my selling timeline, I've dropped the price to $5500. More importantly, wife says "Move this car before the new one gets here!"

You are not going to find an E46 this nice for this price very often.

Seems like no matter what I do, and what browser I use, I can't edit the original post to change the price in either the text or the title. Anybody have any ideas? This is obviously the same software as bimmerfest.com, and it worked there...

OP, contact me at rj dot nunnally at gmail dot com for Lt. KernalSanders info. He's a legit buyer & I am well known on bf.c & e30tech. E46fanatics flagged his account for suspicion.

I got it taken care of, it was flagged because I joined to ask about the car and didn't have any posts anywhere else on the forum.

Gotcha. I used to post a lot under a different name, but that login got lost when I changed email addresses. I'm active under this name over on bimmerfest.com.
