OP - if you want go, go to APMEX.com and buy real gold that you can hold in your hand.

Look for the cheapest "over spot" price that you can find on something nice in the smallest sizes (so you can sell easier later.)

Personally, I would buy Silver and/or also.

For example, the Maple Leaf is $59.99 over spot pricing...

Screw gold, market is very volatile. Even the reliable Apple stock is going down.

Right, good call. Apple up 5% in 2 days (counting pre-market for tomorrow) and just announced increased dividends...

You and f2b must be making a killing together.

When buying PM, only buy physical and screw the contracts. With PM you should invest your stay rich money, not your get rich money.

If that's the case, then he has approximately 250 shares of apple. Which means his apple stock was worth approximately $170,000. I sure hope that with a portfolio of that size, he's into other stocks as well, which would all but offset his apple losses, given the rise in the market over the past few months.

This is good to know. I'm gonna keep my $$ in the bank for now. I might just buy a house/condo soon when I know where I want to settle down.

He invests a lot of money in tech companies. He made some good money from bonds but with his Apple losses he came out losing some money. Freaking stocks lol

Hope gold drops to under $1K/oz then I might think of getting into some bullions.

The same thing goes for silver, hoping it drops to $14/oz and store it for 30-40 years.
