Watches are cool. Currently wear a Baume & Mercier.

Looking to acquire a Carrera Calibre 16 Day-Date soon, black face of course.

The new 007 special ed Planet Ocean doesn't look half bad either...

Bought another 5 Omegas in the last couple months, all vintage, some stainless steel, most solid gold:

Nice one - love the vintage. How much the gold ones weigh?

They're pretty light, but the two Seamaster Calendars are very rare, the one with date at 6:00 is one of only two known to exist, and is the apex of that Seamaster line, the date at 3:00 is one of maybe 3 currently known to exist.

The Constellation is more common, but as a De Luxe model they're rather sought after.

You did ok actually, don't wind it without getting it serviced first as the coagulated lubricant and debris in the movement will grind against gear teeth.

Wow I hadn't even thought about getting it serviced thanks for letting me know. Approximately how much do they charge? And is it a decent watch? I just wonder who's initials are on the back, a.a.m 1942 I wasn't even born . Or my parents for that matter .

A watchmaker should be able to service it for under $200 including a new mainspring. Its actually a nice wearable watch so I'd go ahead and do it.
