on my 330 i have the non sport bumper which looks terrible (po pulled it over a few curbs to say the least) anyway i was thinking of getting the m tech ii bumper from D&H autoparts.com for around $300 painted and shipped

is there any modifying i have to do or is it direct fit?
i know ill need new round fogs thats not a problem my square ones are very foggy as well as the main grille insert, but do i need anything else?

I put the Umnitza Mtech II bumper on my 2004 XI. I had to buy new BMW brackets that were inexpensive, but the brake ducts were an expensive surprise. I had to cut away a plastic bracket where the wheel well meets the headlights, but the fit was good. I ordered it prepainted and the paint matched perfectly. Overall, an easy chore.
Here's the result:

Yes. It added a week or so to the order process, but it came out looking very good.

"How much was the brakes ducts cost ya??"

That was the XI shocker- they were about $120 each, double the cost for nonXI ducts. To be honest, I didnt even know that i had brake ducts to begin with, (you only notice them on the stock bumper when you take the bumper off) but the larger openings in the MtechII bumper line up perfectly with the ducts I bought. I didnt try to see what the old ducts would have looked like, but a side by side comparison made me think that it would have made the whole effect look unfinished.

Anyone need a set of stock ducts?? I'll sell them cheap!!

What i like best about the mod was that it looks stock. My son (who has an '87 325 vert) was skeptical that it would sit lower to the ground and look like an aftermarket add-on. That's not the case.
I'm glad I did it.
Good Luck!

That sounds like a ridiculously low price if they're also painting it for you. Do you have a link to that offer?

I found it: http://www.dnhautoparts.com/bmw-3-se...per-cover.html
In the process I also discovered that this business has an F rating with the BBB, if that matters to anyone.
Also, I don't know if it's my browser not loading correctly, but I couldn't find a "buy" or "get it painted" button anywhere on the product page. Seems pretty sketchy to me. Justinz, what was your experience like with ordering from them?

I have never ordered from their either. I recently tried to purchase the bumper but it doesn't show a add to cart or buy option anywhere. I read on their site that in order to get it painted you have to choose the option when the item is in the cart. I even made an account for the site nothing.
Seeing that you said that the site has F rating I'm kind of skeptic.
What is BBB?

BBB is The Better Business Bureau An organization for documenting complaints against and rating businesses in North America.

Oh wow this is a useful thing I guess then. Thanks
I guess I will give dnhauto a call later to see what's up with the order status. Helphos apparently purchased from them without a problem. The price is quite low compared to other reputable sites.

It was just about $450 if i remember correctly, including shipping. It came painted "Silver grey metallic" like the factory color, and the fog lights were included.
It really changes the look of the car!

GoodLuck!
