Does anyone have a DIY walk through for a turbo install for an 04 330i? Looking to piece together a turbo for my DD and don't really want to have my car down for a long period of time. Also anyone know where I can get the ECU flashed by shipping it to them?

On a more serious note: A Technique Tuning kit is the only complete solution, and it is excellent.

Just weld the rips yourself. That's what I did. I just keep an eye on it and if it rips again I'll just weld it again lol. I don't give a crap if it looks good or not, it works and that's what matters.

The car is at a professional welder, he will repair it and make also the reinforcement work.

The problem is that this will delay with a few days the project...

LOL that doesn't work it just hides a crack. You need to fix the problem. It's not a case of "I can't see you, so your not there" that will cause more damage.

I'm very close to Bucharest, maybe we could meet here or in Sofia at the next drag race.

By the way, do you know the Turkish transport company Mert?

S54 custom turbo setup

Just started the car yesterday after the engine built.
I have put also a new vanos unit and still I receive vanos errors from the DME. At idle some times the car goes very quick in high AFR (15 to 17), I ha the same problem before the engine built and was thinking it's the vanos unit...
What else could it be? What logs should I make?

injectors may be damaged
spark plugs may be damaged and misfiring
coils may be misfiring

lambda sensor may be damaged, your actual afr values may be spot on but 02 sensor may be off.

check for leaks and all connection hoses / clamps.

2 things to look at: What does ur throttle read at idel? Needs to be around 2 percent.. aem hates to be a 0 percent and causes weird things .Also the fuel table might need richening up at 900 to 1200 rpm... Try adding 1% then see what happens to Afr.

As for logs: 02 feed back. O2. 02 target, Throttle , Tps voltage , rpm. Send them to me. Also add cam 1 and cam 2 advance

I will make all the logs and send them to you, also post here the vanos codes.

To explain in details what happens with the AFR: I start the car and the AFR is normal at 13-13.5, after I accelerate a few time the AFR drops to 15-16, after a few more accelerations the AFR comes back to normal 13-13.5, after acceleration also the RPM drops for a few seconds to 500-600 and then goes to normal just that AFR is going to 15-16.
