Messed up my wrist

Not sure what I did but I messed my wrist up doing shoulders yesterday. May have been while doing BB press but not sure, didn't bother me at the time and I finished my workout without issue. I noticed it last night and it was pretty painful when I woke up this morning.

I'm going to take a couple days off from lifting to see how it feels, no bruising or swelling which is a good thing.

You probably were using bad wrist position for the BB press. Your wrist should be in the same position as if you were punching the sky; there should not be any extension/stretching of the wrist. See below:

Some people use improper benching technique with their wrists in position C (..extension):

Here is another example of how the wrists should be during any press (..extension is on the left, proper wrist position in line with the forearm is on the right):

Yeah I try to always use proper technique, I think I tweaked it while racking the bar on my last set.

Hopefully it's just a minor sprain if anything.

Went and grabbed a brace to keep my wrist in for the next couple days, if it doesn't start to feel better after that I'll head to the doctor.
