Suspension refresh, pulleys and belts, repainting the rusty calipers and a detail. Not enough time to get started this weekend. You live down in MKE?

I'll be spending the day tomorrow with my niece, but thanks though. I currently live in Oshkosh now, moving up to Neenah soon so we should definitely meet up sometime.

I need to find a place to live with a garage. Sick of living in apts. with no place to work on the car.

What shops around the Milwaukee area do you guys recommend? I need an alignment done before the weekend for Road America.

I've been wondering the same thing. I just spent $121 on an oil change at the valvoline on north ave, that usually costs about $60 when I'm back in my hometown of sturgeon bay.

WO. You overpaid man. While you were over in that direction, I would have just gone to Concours on GreenBay Ave. Got my oil changed and fluids topped off for 80 bucks.

A good regular shop that I prefer to take my cars to (took my RSX there for years) is A&A auto in Stallis. Good prices, good crew, good services. Cant ask for much else.

Im still looking for a good place to do my headers and fender rolls though that doesnt charge up the a$$. O'reilly's charges way too much for my taste, although I know they do fantastic work.

Recently picked up this 328ci from a fellow BMW enthusiasts. 5 speed with 125k miles, has a couple of upgraded options from the factory otherwise its stock. Probably will stay relatively stock for awhile with all my money going to school and paying for the car. After browsing this thread briefly I see some of you go to Road America, I love Road America and have been going there since I've been alive. Hoping to go to a good amount of events this summer. Been a regular for lemans, but hopefully going to some more this year.

I've already got a lot of great info from this site and look forward to taking and contributing more to it.

So talking shops in Wisconsin...does anyone recommend a machine shop in Madison? I just pulled my cylinder head on the BMW and I need to have it gone through before reassembly. I googled and saw a couple options but I would prefer a recommendation before I send this out to someone with little knowledge. Any help would be great I've only been in the area under a year.

Re: WI Fanatics

I just called Midwest engine service and it sounds like a good place and I was told by the employee on the phone that they do machining for the local euro dealerships. So might just do that, sounds promising

anyone in the area have a code reader that will read abs codes? I'm having the DSC, ABS, and Brake light issue coming up right now and just want to know what I have to fix, and what part I have to buy without spending more money to just get it read.

Go to O'Reilly Auto parts store and they will let you use the code reader.

I have the INPA and you could stop by to my place too.

Midwest F Body weekend at Road America? I think that was sometime around when you posted that. I was there with my Z4 both days and murdered a set of Hankook Ventus v12 evo's. They just don't stick quite so well anymore and they scream loudly around any moderate speed corner now.

Now I have a set of 18x8.5 SSC Comps and Direzza ZII's on the way for the CGI event at Gingerman.

I've been running with LAPS, INC lately and I've really been enjoying the organization. Much better time than what I had with NASA.

I'm planning on running again at Road America on July 12th.
