It's a fact.
And when that ban expired, they kept falling. How?

^That doesn't make sense. If the Clinton ban was the sole reason for the decrease (or even just a big reason for the decrease), logic dictates that we'd see a subsequent rise in gun violence after the sunset clause in '04. Turns out, the 'numbers' continued decreasing. I don't credit that ban for the decrease.

In making that claim, I'm just curious how you:

1. Explain that the vast majority of firearm related deaths are a result of handguns which were unregulated by the '93 ban?

2. Justify the fact that "assault" weapon ownership is higher now then at any other point in US history, yet firearm related crime is at an all time low?

3. Explain why firearm crime has continued to decrease even after the ban was lifted in 2004?

You're right. It's just another coincidence.

Do you really think the ban was about the guns?

The ban was instituted to change the public's perception of guns, and it worked as intended. Most of the drones in this country see "gun ban" and automatically drop guns from their wish list.

Now that a new generation of tiny penised males has breached puberty, a new ban is needed to get that laser focus off guns and onto something else - like drugs or women or cars.

Before any jimmies get rustled, I'd like to point out that there are serious gun fans who aren't the target of my ridicule. People like JJ are serious hobbyists who would be into guns even if they weren't trendy. I'm referring to the little fellas that are turned on by the buzz words & hype and want to be a part of the herd.

There are some serious flaws with your logic, but I know from other threads it's useless to argue with you. Sad to see that you are willing to write policy based on speculation and social perception instead of facts and careful consideration.
