Chewing up rear tires!

My car is eating rear tires like crazy. I have a staggered set of M68's with 245/40-17 rears, and 225/45-17 fronts. I put on about 500 miles per week on the car; and after 2 months my rears are shot.

The tires were replaced 2 months ago, with two new Hankook Ventus V12 tires; and already they are shot. (I know they aren't the best, but i don't want to put expensive tires if they're just going to be fried in 2 months again) During rainy weather the car fishtails, going over wet lines in the road, you can feel the car slip...it's very uncomfortable.

Car has 194K, rear subframe was replaced, bushings were replaced 2 years ago; but that is all. I get annual alignments for preventative maintenance to prolong my tires...but that doesn't seem to be working.......

Any ideas?

Chewing up rear tires!

Go to an alignment shop that uses Hunter equipment and get the car checked,

I can't imagine the tire wearing evenly across and being shot within two months. Unless you've driven A LOT within those two months...
