Score. I like it.

I looked at a hammered 1600 recently, but it was too crusty for me to play with.

Awesome pickup! Would also like to know about the paint condition. I know the colour is very of the period but I'm not a fan.

Also check out www.bmw2002.com

EDIT: sorry,...I just read page 2 of thread...saw u already bought. NICE SCORE ! BUT to others...don't forget about MG's !! Excellent value...low cost. Jus a thought.

Look what I bought last month.......several k under your $10,000 mark. 38,000 ORIGINAL MILES......1973 MG B ....BRG....= British Racing Green....4-spd (of course).....note: CB MG B (Chrome Bumper, not RB or Rubber Bumper)...... I drive her everywhere..reliable as F ...bad pics...but I attest ...it's MINT MINT MINT.... YABBADABBA-DOOOOO !

Never go DOWN in value....(bought it from a 78 year old man down the street who owned it almost all it's life.....I practically STOLE it from the ol' guy...someone call the COPS !!...)

The paint is a mediocre respray, not the original Malaga (plum/purple). I'm ok with that because I want to daily drive it and mod it, and I like the orange color. I don't plan on painting it myself anytime soon.

I joined 2002faq when I got the itch to buy a new car. They were definitely helpful.

MG's are awesome cars as well. I don't know for sure, but I have a feeling British cars are a PITA to work on. If I was going go british, I'd find a Sunbeam.

I love that MG as well. I always wanted one of those. The chrome bumpers make all the difference in the world in the looks of those cars.
