That steering wheel is atrocious; individual or not. That strip of leather is repulsive

Lol it was wood, want a fan of it either. Had one with white/black leather 2 tone and piano black trim and on the steering wheel instead of that strip of wood, looked really nice.

I can't agree more!! I don't see what is so "special" about Audi's interior. I personally like Benz first, then BMW as a close second more then Audi. Very plain in my opinion.

all day long. I would like to hear answers from people who have actually sat, used, and DRIVEN the cars that are being compared here....

but then the thread wouldn't exist.... I LOVE BMW and I can still say the Audi A8 has SUCH a better build quality than the 7 series. Ive been to classes where the flaws of each cars are pointed out and the 7 has a laundry list. Should I start naming things? I mean seriously, let's forget about the leather for a second... or how many buttons, etc.

The Audi is simply built better. And I wish it were the other way around

Audi interiors make it look like you are about to pilot a space ship....love it. I dig the buttons since that means less scrolling thru menus and submenus on an infotainment system.

Do you work at an Audi dealership or something? Who takes classes to point out the flaws in the different cars?

And what are the 7s flaws. Please do list them, and how they compare to Audi.

I work at a BMW dealership, And have lots of rich friends, you name it I've probably driven or have been driven in it.

Audi = overpriced Volkswagen.

Audi will always be 3rd behind BMW and Mercedes. Attention to detail is what sets these brands apart, something Audi still lacks. They look nice but don't feel nice, get what I'm saying?

Like take a rolls Royce with its minimalistic yet functional interior on the phantom, sure the 7 series looks better, but then you get in the rolls Royce and you're like fvck everything else. Less is sometimes more. Like an Aston Martin for example. Barebones interior by comparison to others, yet some of the classiest looking and highest quality interiors you can find inside a car.

That said, Audi has come a long way

I currently own a partnership stake in an Audi franchise, yes.

As far as flaws go, take Audi's hybrid aluminum/steel frame for example. They call it ASF, the Audi Space Frame. Lightyears ahead of BMW as far as efficiency goes. This is one of the reasons why BMW and MERC especially are still putting out fuel eating monsters, while Audi can run a flagship A8 on a 3.0T 6 cylinder!

How about the fact that BMW still uses seam welding at the top of their cars while audi has a laser cut? No bolts and screws to be hidden by cheap plastic. Take bmw's stock steering wheel. It is small, cheap, and feels old. Every Audi wheel is thick, robust, and contoured like a sports car.

I will stop now because I could go on all day. The point I'm making is, while everyone gets into yet another BMW vs Audi pissing match, I would like to point out the fact that they are showing pictures of INDIVIDUAL BMW's, or Special Edition interiors. Why? Because they are the only ones that can compare to Audi's STOCK interior.

First of all, what is your position at the dealership?

I disagree with much of your post. Attention to detail is NOT what sets these brands apart, my friend.

BRAND RECOGNITION is. This is why the BMW 3 series and the Mercedes C class are their best sellers. People want the BADGE. If you work for a BMW dealership and don't know that by now, then I can only imagine what your sales numbers look like. (assuming you sell)

As far as Audi being an overpriced VW goes, so what? VW makes a nice product. Do you make the same argument about the current VWAG owned Lamborghini's?
