Track Day Wheels

Curious what you guys would choose, 19" Dinan staggered or 18" squared (ie Apex) wheels for track day if money was not a factor.
Thanks,
Mike

I would still go with the 18s. Better sidewall and less weight in the wheel. I personally really like a taller sidewall.

No question, 18" squared.

Go with a proven BMW race wheel, not a quasi street/track wheel.

1) Team Dynamics Race Wheels, these are VERY strong and hard to break/bend.

2) D-Force LTW5 Race Wheels, VERY light, not as strong as Team D.

I went with square 18" Apex EC-7 for my dry wheels.

Trust me money is a factor and I am not interested in spending more than necessary. I hope to be able to take advantage of opportunities. The 3.91 was not the first mod I intended to do but when a seal repair was going to cost north of $800 and Dinan was having a 15% off sale it made sense to upgrade.(Although my wife gets lost in my logic) If donavan was anywhere near me I would be very interested in investigating his extra wheels.
Thanks again,
Mike

Precisely, now that I have the squared consensus I will search out a used set or a group buy.

Are you only looking at 18 /19's? If I was in the market, I'd probably go with 17" arc-8.... so meaty! (that's what she said)

Chatting with the APEX guys at Bimmerfest today, certainly looking hard at the 18" Arc 8, less than 20 lbs each and I believe the best selection of tire options with 18" Also fewer brake kit clearance issues.
