Infinity Basslink "Plug 'n' Play" Subwoofer Kit... reviews?

Hey guys, i found one of these things, brand new with the controller... for only 200$! Is it worth it? I just want to kick up the sound a bit in my 1992 325i.... Anyone here have it? What do you think?

Also, I am not expecting DEAFING bass... hahaha, just a bit more depth to the sound..
thanks guys!

Yep, I'd definately pick it over a standard amp and sub setup. They are much more simple and put out nice, clean bass. A decent amount of it, too.

my cousin had one of those... he eventually took it out and replaced it with a 12.. the bass was VERY weak on it.. well, on SOME songs it sound OK... but on others it would sound like a stock sub... I'm not a fan of deafening bass either but this was just not up to par... IMO one 12" in a sealed box has always provided the perfect amount of bass... hits real clean... You could pick up a 12" infinity kappa perfect for about $100 on ebay... they sound pretty clean and accurate.. go for a MTX thunder amp w/ between 300-400 watts of power... under $100 on ebay.. i've always been a fan of MTX... their amps perform great and at a good price too... just my 2 cents

i'm interested in the basslink too.. where would be the best place to mount the infinity basslink in an e46 coupe? would it still be in the trunk?

note this note

I have had success with my Basslink install. If you do not have the ski pass through the armrest of the rear seat, you MUST remove a plate that is spot-welded there. It is easy and necessary to enjoy any subs in the trunk.

Try a search on "ski pass plate removal". If no luck, PM me and I'll post a quick DIY.

Good Luck.
